Event: Former Neo-Nazi Speaks about Life After Hate, 7pm April 24

Life after Hate: Lessons from a former white supremacist

7pm April 24

O’Shaughnessy Cultural Arts Center

1 Central Ave., Whitefish

Christian Picciolini, an ex-skinhead and former neo-Nazi leader, will be speaking at 7pm on April 24 at the O’Shaughnessy Cultural Arts Center in Whitefish, 1 Central Ave.

He will tell his story about rising through the ranks of leadership of a prominent hate group, leading a white supremacist band, and what finally caused him to change his perceptions.

Hate groups are on the rise today, including a few in the Flathead Valley. Picciolini will outline what methods they use to recruit new members and how they spread misinformation and hate.

Picciolini left the world of hate groups more than 20 years ago, and how he travels around the world, attempting to eradicate the influence of racism. His non-profit group Life After Hate is dedicated to helping people escape the grip of violent extremism.

This event is sponsored by the Montana Human Rights Network with assistance from  Love Lives Here. No tickets are needed to attend.
